I’m a graduate of the Naval Academy (’75) and served in the US Navy SEAL Teams. After my service, I moved to Los Angeles in 1992 and worked in the Hollywood business as a writer, an actor, and in production—including eleven years at Paramount Pictures and CBS/Paramount in Network Television Business Affairs and Network Television Legal.
As a writer, I’ve contributed story elements and story ideas to Quantum Leap, JAG and provided script consulting on dozens of feature scripts. Since 1982, I have also periodically worked on government projects as an analyst and technical writer. I’ve authored two books: "The Screenwriting Life" through Penguin Putnam’s Berkeley Boulevard Books (now out of print) and "The Screenwriting Quick Start" (self-published). I’ve penned dozen articles for Script magazine and other industry publication, most focusing on writing for television and production.
Currently, I am co-writing feature screenplays and converting one of my unsold feature film scripts to a novel—Once a Spy.
